Custom Fabric Nameplates for Big Game K9 Units!

Ray Allen Manufacturing has just rolled out something really cool that we think you’re going to love. Recently, a canine handler posted on Facebook asking for recommendations on where to get nameplates for their bomb squad dogs who were going to be working at one of the largest sporting events in the country. Well, we couldn’t resist jumping in to help out!

New Strategy for Dog Harness Patches

Ray Allen has always been known for our high-quality embroidered name tapes and dog harness patches, but we’ve recently introduced a new fabric called Squadron. This stuff is a game-changer! It allows us to create custom k9 harness patches quickly and efficiently, which is perfect for those of us who want to make sure our working dogs are properly identified.

The Cool Features of Squadron

What makes Squadron so special? For starters, it can be laser cut into any shape you need without fear of fraying! We’ve got some great color options too - think black, Ranger Green, Multicam, and Coyote for the main fabric. And when it comes to the names on these k9 harness patches, you can choose from a whole rainbow of colors. For this particular project, the team opted for black fabric with red lettering, which really pops.

How We Made Them

Creating these nameplates was a fun process. Here’s a quick rundown:

1. Laser Cutting: We started by laser cutting the nameplate shapes.

2. Sticky Business: Next, we applied some 3M double-sided adhesive tape to make sure everything sticks well.

3. Compression Roller: We used a compression roller to bind the tape and fabric together securely.

4. Name Cutting: Then came the fun part - laser cutting the individual names.

5. Sewing Magic: Finally, we sewed around the edges to ensure they’re durable enough for all the action these K9s see.

It’s all about making sure these nameplates are tough enough to handle anything that comes their way.
