Hi, I’m Bolt!⚡️I’m in training to become one of the best human remains detection (HRD) K9s in the Pacific Northwest.

I’m a purebred Belgian Malinois that was found running in rural Yakima, WA. I can’t tell my humans what happened to me before Okandogs Rescue picked me up, but it wasn’t great. Okandogs placed me in foster with an amazing woman named Colleen, and she worked hard to find me just the right fur-ever family; now I have lots of space to run and even two little humans to snuggle.

While I love my couch time, I know my search dog work is important — not only for the victims and their loved ones, but also because I’m the best “me” when I have a job. Lack of a job is what sends my breed to the shelter by the thousands every year. And even though that’s already been part of my story, I’m working daily on building my confidence through nose-work and agility.
