The E-Collar Technologies K9-800 PLUS w/ Bungee Collar is identical to the K9-802 Trainer, with the simple fact that it's designed to have both RX-120 receivers mounted to a single collar, for added training benefits. It is a single dog unit and both receivers are pre-programmed on the same frequency and operated by (1) K9 Handler "Tactical E-Collar" stop-watch style transmitter.
You may wonder what the purpose is for using a 2-receiver "PLUS" system, on your dog. Although there are many reasons, for one, the receivers can be fitted to either side of the dog's throat rather than applying pressure to the bottom of the throat, potentially robbing your dog of air. Yes, you can fit a single receiver to one side of the neck, but that tends to shape the way your dog responds and works. For example, if the receiver is fitted to the right side of the neck, your dog will most likely move their head to the right in avoidance of the stim.
This can be an issue for dogs in bite work, heel work, etc. The K9-800 PLUS 2-receiver system addresses this issue. The dual receivers also cover a greater surface area of your dog's neck, providing a better distribution of stimulation across all contact points.
Finally, and what we believe is the MOST significant reason - thick coats can make it extremely difficult to maintain good ccontact with your dog's neck, and thus the stimulation is ineffective unless you tighten the collar, which can cause other issues. The K9-800 PLUS will enable the e-collar to be fitted quite a bit looser and lower than any other configuration, while maintining a more consistent contact with their neck. This means more air for the dog and better connection, which will result in better response to desired behavior or behavior corrections.
Like the K9-800, the "PLUS" has a 33" bungee collar that can be fitted for any dog with a neck size of 6" - 29".
The K9-800 "Tactical E-Collar" transmitter has a 1 mile line-of-sight range and can either be set to run both receivers on the same frequency for 1-dog, or set to independently run each receiver for 2-dog teams (each with the traditional single reciever e-collar). The K9-800 transmitter has a unique COS (control of stimulation) technology that provides varying levels of stimulation, from 1-100.
Both the receivers and the transmitter are waterproof to 500', leaving no concern for training near water. Please keep in mind, the K9-800 PLUS, 2-receiver setup is not compatible with our E-Lusive 2.0™ ID Collar, or our Mini E-Lusive™ Collar. They only function for single receiver setup.
The K9-802 PLUS K9 Handler "Tactical E-Collar" is the 2-Dog version of the K9-800 PLUS. Like it's 1-Dog counterpart, it allows you to run 2-receivers on each dog, with independent settings configured from the transmitter. The K9-802 PLUS 2-dog system includes (4) total RX-120 receivers, (2) 33" Bungee Biothane collars, and (3) sets of contact points for each receiver.
