The Herm Sprenger 4mm Fur Saver Long Link Chrome-Plated Steel Choke Chain Collar is strong enough to correct pulling and dragging behavior, but is more comfortable for your dog. The Fur Saver long links each measure 2 inches in length, creating fewer links than other behavioral chain collars which prevents less fur damage for your pup. The longer links and O-rings are designed specifically to decrease any pulling or tangling of fur, when the collar is taught.
The Long Link Stainless Steel Fur Saver Collars work best when used with a combination of tightening and releasing the collar while your dog is leashed. The loose position allows you to walk your dog as you normally would, while tightening your pull on the leash will allow the collar to react and dissuade your pup from unwanted behavior. A great addition to obedience training.

How do I measure my dog for a choke chain?
Measure around the largest part of your dog's head, then add 2 inches. Select the chain size that is equal to or larger than this measurement. Chain sizes are based on overall length from the end-of-the-ring to end-of-the-ring. Length is approximate to within 1/2 inch.
